1. Shoes
  2. Scarves
  3. Clutch bags
  4. Little black dresses

Well that’s me anyway.

I’ve become something of a collector. I could even be a dealer but there always seems to be just one more which is "SO different" and thus tempting. In particular I’ve put a ban on buying scarves-I have been known to buy "lots" of them on Ebay-well they were a bargain.

Shoes or bags by the lot are a little less affordable but I have on occasion bought shoes that are too small purely because I like the look of them. There are some feelings of guilt that surround my habit but the LBD (little black dress) escapes such feelings.

It’s the one piece in a woman’s wardrobe that can be pulled out in a flash and turn her from chilled to chic. A LBD never dates and can be sexy or secretary depending on your tastes. From a party to a boardroom it always looks effortless and fabulous. I could talk forever about the wonders of the LBD but we’ll leave that for another day.

As I pack for the long-awaited Electric Picnic I switch into grunge mode. Vests, hoodie, tulle skirt, sequins, army jacket, wellies and Converse. No black in sight for the weekend-it’s my festival rule! But if you’re not going to the Picnic slip on a LBD and hit the town. Check out this gorgeous one below from Karen Millen’s AW 08 Collection.
