Inspired by design houses Michael Kors, Balmain, Christopher Kane and Giles Deacon, Pret-a-Portea is known as London’s most fashionable afternoon tea. Now it’s coming to Harvey Nicks in Dundrum-served daily from 3-5pm from 28th April to 2nd May (€30 per person). For those of us who can’t stretch to Lanvin’s colour-blocking pieces, we can eat them for a fraction of the cost.

Susan Boyle
This wee Scottish header has taken the world by storm after an incredible performance of Le Miserable “I dreamed a dream”. With almost 34 million Youtube hits and a guest appearance on Oprah-Susan Boyle is living the dream. It warms the cockles of my heart! Check out the video here

Brunch in Odessa
Nothing beats a good feed with friends on a Sunday morning. One of my favourite haunts is Dublin’s Odessa for their perfect Eggs Benedict and “moreish” Bloddy Mary’s.

Frock Swap
Taking place in Café en Seine this Thursday-full details are here and I’m told tickets are scarce on the ground so get moving. With Louboutins and Chanel causing war at the last one-get the elbows out and bring a friend… The free cocktails, platters and goodie bags are just the icing on the cake!

Tiffany & Co. charms
It feels like these should certainly have existed before now but apparently not. Tiffany’s, now housed in Brown Thomas have just launched a range of dinky little charms including playing cards, bones, cocktails, clocks and one of my favourites the picnic basket. The price tag is a little less “dinky” with the miniature basket coming in at $1,350 (do the maths)-recession bucking at it’s best!
